IUBSC Motivations: Indiana University is my home. I grew up in Ellettsville and have lived in Bloomington all my life, always knowing I would attend the same university my family has gone through. I am always looking for new ways to connect not only with my employer, but my alma mater. I recently attended one of the Bloomington Staff Council tours and realized what an awesome opportunity the IUBSC gives staff to step outside our own silos and see more of what we might take for granted every day – something I feel strongly about as a lifelong resident of Bloomington, having been fortunate to interact with and benefit from many of the resources IU has available. I’d love to be part of the process of fostering that passion and knowledge of IU and advocate for our staff (which I agree, tend to come after students and faculty). Being a voice for staff at IU would be an honor and a privilege. I would also greatly look forward to connecting with other IU staff across campus both for my personal and professional development.
